home our babies go to.  
We reserve the right to
refuse to place a
hedgehog in a home that
we feel is not ideal for this
type of pet.
RESERVING A BABY

SHIPPING / DELIVERY
PRICES
To reserve a baby, please complete our adoption  
application (see link at left) and return to us via
email. We will then contact you when a baby
becomes available.  Please keep in mind that, with
live animals, breeding success is never guaranteed,
and as such, estimated wait time is never
guaranteed.  We do our best to keep our wait list
moving along, but are not willing to compromise the
health and welfare of our animals in any way to do so.

Please note that our hedgehogs are sold as pets
only.  We do not sell opposite sex hedgehogs to
buyers, only to established, properly-licensed
breeders.  

We require a $50 non-refundable deposit by the age
of two weeks.  This deposit will hold your baby until
the age of six weeks.  After the age of six weeks,
payment in full is required to hold a baby.  If there
have been no arrangements made to pick-up the
baby and/or pay in full by six weeks of age, you
forfeit the $50 deposit and the baby goes back on the
available list.

We accept cash, money order (made out to Sarah
Doering) or Paypal payment (There is a 4% surcharge
for using this method- see link at left).  NO
PERSONAL CHECKS, PLEASE.  
All babies come with a lifetime health guarantee
against innate physical defects or genetic problems.
 Babies also come with a lifetime warranty against
Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome (WHS).  A replacement
baby from a different line will be provided in the
event that a necropsy is provided from a licensed
veterinarian of Lilac City Hedgehogs' choice stating
the cause of death was WHS.
The price for all Lilac City babies, regardless of color
or sex, is $175.  The $50 reservation deposit goes
towards the overall price of the hedgehog.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer shipping at
this time.  Continental Airlines, the airline of choice
for safe, temperature-controlled animal shipments,
does currently not offer live animal flights out of
Spokane or the surrounding areas.

In the Washington, northern Idaho, western
Montana and northern Oregon areas, delivery by
car may be available.  Delivery fee is $0.50 per mile
round trip.
RETURNS
If you cannot keep your hedgehog for any reason,
we request that it be returned to Lilac City
Hedgehogs.  We will always accept a hedgehog back
and ensure that it has a loving home.  However,
there is no refund of purchase price given, except
as specified in the health guarantee.
VISITING OUR HEDGEHOGS
Lilac City Hedgehogs is a home-based business, and
as such, we do not have established "visiting
hours." Additionally, we wish to reduce unnecessary
stress on our animals by having too many visitors.  
However, we welcome and encourage potential
hedgehog owners WITH APPROVED ADOPTION
APPLICATIONS ON FILE with us to come meet our
hedgehog herd, see our facilities and learn more
about hedgehog ownership (at pre-scheduled times
and dates).  We love to "talk hedgies!"
